WOW! I was revisiting the HBO series "THE WIRE", where I saw a scene at Pollock Johnny's on Patapsco Ave. Working as a cook , I used to serve them, about 15yrs. ago. So I Google Pollock Johnny's, and BINGO!! All the Pollck Johnny's you could ever want. After receiving a package, faster than expected, I've shared all immediately. Everone loved them. So, a second package arrived in time fror Lobor Day! THANKS!
I loved grabbing a kielbasa or two at a Pollock Johnny's when I lived in MD back in the 80s and it's been YEARS since I had. Lol and behold, I saw a link to buy them online and I jumped at the chance. As soon as the package came I couldn't wait to get some sausages on my griddle, cooked to dark golden brown, stuffed into a hot dog bun and trimmed with a little brown mustard and some Johnny sauce. Oh baby, I'm back on The Block and it's late at night and it tastes so good ! Thank you Logans, for this great iconic food memory
Taste great, just as I remember!
Growing up in Baltimore, I knew the taste of a real polish sausage, I used to work downtown, so I would go to Lexington market a couple time a month for the one and only Pollack Johnny's polish sausage. I moved to NC in 1988, and until recently hadn't had the flavor of the one of kind smoked sausage. I am older now, so, I can't eat them the way I used to. But believe me I took my time and enjoyed every juicy bite, just as I remembered.
